Course Objective

The objective of this training is primarily to address concerns regarding
  • Handling difficult employees
  • Poor communication
  • Dealing with difficult situations
  • Knowing how to deal with conflict
  • Inculcating teamwork to resolve complaints
  • Understanding Personality to understand the employees
This 2 days training has been divided into 2 levels of training which integrates all these concerns and will focus on cases and scenarios.

Course Content

Level 1 Training

Course 1: 9.00 am – 10.30 am

What is effective communication in an organisation?
In this session, discover what effective communication is. Participants will also have an insight on how integrated communication should be in every aspect of an organization to ensure the highest level employee relations is achieved.
Morning Coffee : 10.30 am – 10.45 am

Course 2 : 10.45 am – 1.00 pm
Communication Barriers : How it has an influence in difficult employees?
Participants will analyse how different communication barriers have an impact on employees being difficult.
Lunch : 1.00 pm – 2.00 pm

Course 3 : 2.00 pm – 3.30 pm
Cultures : Has it an impact on difficult employees?
Discover how organization cultures have an impact on staff attitude. Participants will be given case study to analyse in this session.
Evening Coffee : 3.30 pm – 3.45 pm

Course 4 : 3.45 pm – 5.00 pm
The Basic Rules of Dealing with a Difficult Employee
In this session, participants will be taught on the fundamental rules of dealing with a difficult employee and how issues should be addressed amicably. Participants will also have role play in this session to ensure there is a clearer understanding of the principles

Level 2 Training

Course 5 : 9.00 am – 10.30 am
Negotiation :The Art of Handling Difficult Employees
Discover the steps that should be taken in handling difficult employees through the practice of effective negotiation tools. Participants will be given case study to analyse in this session.
Morning Coffee : 10.30 am – 10.45 am

Course 6 : 10.45 am – 1.00 pm
Understanding Personality!
In this session, discover the importance of understanding the personality of your employees and colleagues in order to understand why certain people behave in a certain manner. By understanding personalities, it is easier to look at a person better.
1.00 pm – 2.00 pm – Lunch

Course 7: 2.00 pm – 3.30 pm
Dealing with an Employee’s Conflict
If the employees themselves are stressed and carry a negative attitude, this filters down very badly on the organisation. In this session, discover how to deal with an employee’s conflict.
Evening Coffee : 3.30 pm – 3.45 pm

Course 8 : 3.30 pm – 5 pm
Individual & Teamwork: Working in Unity
Participants will learn the importance of teamwork and boosting your morale in this session. Discover the correlation between working alone and working as a team, and how it has an impact on productivity and one’s attitude.

Certification

Certificate will be awarded to participants who successfully complete the course and pass the assessment.

» Course registration shall be applied at least 3 days in advance. Registration is based on a first-come-first-served basis. To confirm the registration, payment of the course fees must be made before the commencement date. Avanta Global Pte Ltd (Avanta) reserves the right to decline a trainee from attending the class at its sole discretion.
» Certificate/card shall be issued within 1 month from the course completion date. For WDA courses, SOA shall be ready within 3 months from the assessment completion date as per WDA’s T&Cs. No certificate/card will be issued unless full payment is received by Avanta before the course ends. An email notification will be sent once the certificate/card is ready for collection. Uncollected certificate/card within 3 months from the date of email notification will be destroyed. An administrative charge apply to re-printing of replacement certificate/card at $20/-. (Police report is required for lost certificate/card case.)
» Trainee is reminded to attend class punctually. Full course fees will still be imposed if the trainee does not attend the class without prior notice.
» If trainee is found cheating, trainee will be barred from the examination/assessment. Avanta reserves the right to take necessary actions.
» Notice of replacement or withdrawal must be made in writing to Avanta subjected to the following:
All requests are subjected to the discretion and approval of Avanta.
» Reschedule or change of course is allowed once only and is subjected to the availability of the course. An *administrative charge is applicable if the request is made 2 working days or less before the course commencement date.
» Avanta reserves the rights to cancel the course or change the course dates. Refund of full course fees is applicable if the class is cancelled by Avanta.
*Administrative charge: 10% of the course fees or S$30/- (whichever is higher)
