Course Objective
 
This unit of competency specifies the knowledge, skills and attitudes required of a WSH representative to identify a range of hazards, use risk matrix to evaluate the risk and take appropriate risk control measures according to the organisation’s SOP.

Who should attend?

  • Construction Site Supervisors, Project Co-coordinators, Foreman, Site engineer, Clerks-of-Works and general workers in the construction industry.
  • Engineering graduates or individuals with diploma qualifications and above who wish to work in the construction industry

Statement of Attainment on completion of the course.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Be able to listen, read, speak and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills (ES) Level 4
  • Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to Employability Skills (ES) Level 4
  • Preferably hold a WSH related appointment
  • Completed 1 Pre-Requisite Module

1. Apply teamwork in the workplace (WPH-PIW-1101-1.1) OR
2. Continuous Process Improvement (PRE-PIN-2006-1.1 ) OR
3. Problem Identification (RET-ACE-2006-1.1)

Assumed Skills & Knowledge

  • Possess WSH skills and knowledge equivalent to that of Certificate in WSH
  • 1 Year of relevant Working experience in Workplace safety and health
