Course Duration
36 Hours (Incl. 8 assessment hours)

Day 1 – 3 Training: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM – 24 Hours
Day 4 Training: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM – 4 Hours
Day 5 Written Assessment: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM – 4 Hours
Day 6 Oral Assessment will be conducted after 6 weeks from course end date: 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM – 4 Hours

SkillsFuture funding available up to 70% and SFC Eligible, subjected to SkillsFuture T&C.

Course Overview

This unit provides learners with the knowledge and skills to be a WSHMS Program Lead for the organisation in developing a WSHMS implementation plan to meet the requirements of SS (Singapore Standard) 506 and risk management code of practice. It entails reviewing the current WSH policy, risk management plan, WSH objectives and programmes. It also includes establishing frameworks for WSH management programmes and emergency preparedness and response plan in accordance with organisational safety and health needs and WSH legal and other requirements. This unit provides learners with the opportunity to practise, and apply the knowledge and skills learnt to prepare a WSHMS implementation plan for the organisation as well as preparation for SS 506 certification process through classroom discussions and practices. The mode of assessment for this unit may include work activity/assignment and written/oral tests. This is one of the bizSAFE modules that leads to the award of WSQ Statement of Attainment in recognition of bizSAFE (level) 4 by Workplace Safety and Health Council.
