Effective supervisory skill is essential for the delivery of high-quality service. Supervisory failures are the leading causes of conflicts and low productivity at workplace. Although so much focus has been put on changing cultures and the impact on an organization, it is no doubt, that proper leadership has always been the key to both the success and the failure of the company.
The basic rules of supervisory skills
Many factors contribute to failures. First and foremost, bosses, middle management and staff at large are trained to communicate differently. Hierarchy frequently inhibits people from speaking up. People do not voice due to the fear of being told off by people in the higher hierarchy.
Effective supervision allows the individual to equip himself/herself to present their thoughts to a wide range of groups. It is important because the knowledge that will be imparted to your subordinates has to be comprehended by them. Effective supervision saves time, money and manpower. Bosses want conciseness rather than elaborated discussions. However, when filtered down to staff, it has to explain comprehensively to avoid ambiguity.
This training will discuss issues pertaining to effective supervisory skills. Participants will be given case studies to discuss and there will be role plays and simulation exercises throughout the training.

Course 1: 9.00 am – 10.30 am
The Role of the Supervisor
In this session, discover the distinguishing features of a supervisor and what are the qualities of an effective supervisor. Participants will also have an insight on how integrated supervision should be in every aspect of an organization to ensure the highest level of satisfaction.

Course 2: 10.45 am – 1 pm
Supervisor in a Manufacturing Vs Service Industry
In this session, participants will explore the challenges faced by supervisors in manufacturing vs service industry and the importance of the line of communication in both these industries for a supervisor.
Lunch: 1 pm – 2 pm
Course 3: 2 pm – 3.30 pm
Tools of Supervision
In this session, participants will identify the importance of identifying tools of supervision and how supervisors should use these tools in their day to day work with their subordinates.
Evening Coffee: 3.30 pm – 3.45 pm
Course 4: 3.45 pm – 5 pm
Delegating Effectively: Tapping On Your Best Resources
In this session, discover the importance of delegating to ensure your resources are best utilized productively. It is the core duty of the supervisor to ensure proper delegation takes place to ensure overhead costs at the minimal for the company.

Course 5: 9 am – 10.30 am
Result Driven: It is my team, it is my duty
Assessing the need to change in the mindset of people in accepting the importance to take ownership of his unit and to comprehend, that ultimately, the bottom line of his unit’s performance determines the perks that will come along. Participants will be asked to draw out action plans on how to execute them in his respective unit.

Course 6: 10.45 am – 1 pm
Quality Assurance – Optimizing Quality at Workplace
Participants will analyse the importance of Total Quality Management as well as how the supervisor plays a key role in ensuring quality improvement. In this session, participants will also learn quality techniques and quality circles activities.

Course 7: 2 pm – 3.30 pm
Improvising Human Relations – Supervisor’s Role
Discover how a supervisor plays an important role in understanding subordinates emotional problems. Participants will also assess the fundamental problems in human relationships.

Course 8: 3.45 pm – 5 pm
An Overview of Motivating Skills & Teamwork: The Role of the Supervisor
