Course Objective
 
This unit of competency specifies the knowledge, skills and attitudes required of a WSH representative to promote workers’ participation in the WSH programmes.

Who should attend?
 
This course is suitable for front-line workers, staff in supervisory roles or individuals in professional/talent positions without supervisory responsibilities and the self-employed, who have to interact extensively with others on a daily basis, provide excellent customer service and maintain relationships for workplace efficiency. 
 
Certificate Awarded
Statement of Attainment on completion of the course.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Be able to listen, read, speak and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills (ES) Level 4
  • Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to Employability Skills (ES) Level 4
  • Preferably hold a WSH related appointment
  • Completed 1 Pre-Requisite Module

1. Apply teamwork in the workplace (WPH-PIW-1101-1.1) OR
2. Continuous Process Improvement (PRE-PIN-2006-1.1 ) OR
3. Problem Identification (RET-ACE-2006-1.1)

Assumed Skills & Knowledge

  • Possess WSH skills and knowledge equivalent to that of Certificate in WSH
  • 1 Year of relevant Working experience in Workplace safety and health
