Course Overview
Participants will be able to:
a) Implement Traffic Control Plans..
b) Obtain knowledge, skills and attitudes required to plan traffic control in worksite.
Course Contents
a) Accessing, interpreting and applying legislative, organization and site requirements and procedures for:
• Potential hazards and risks
• Controlling traffic
• Basic signaling
• Signs and devices
b) Identifying site isolation and traffic control responsibilities and authorities
c) Identifying quality requirements
d) Worksite communication system components, applications and limitations
e) Procedures and safety requirements of communication equipment and systems
f) Common faults in communication equipment/systems
g) Emergency communication procedures
h) Record maintenance
Course Completion
Knowledge is tested in the forms of both written learning activities during the classroom training and also in individual practical demonstrations. Certificate will be awarded for participants who have successfully cleared the assessment.
Target Audience
• Workers or any site personnel involved in road works, traffic control working on/ near/ adjacent to the road or construction site access.
