What You Will Learn in This WPLN Preparatory Course

Course Objective

The Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) Preparatory Course equips adult learners with the literacy and numeracy competencies required to confidently undertake the Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) assessment by strengthening workplace communication skills, functional English proficiency, and practical mathematical reasoning.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion, learners will be able to:

English Literacy

  1. Apply essential English grammar accurately.
  2. Use workplace vocabulary appropriately.
  3. Understand spoken workplace information.
  4. Communicate effectively during workplace discussions.
  5. Read workplace documents accurately.
  6. Produce simple workplace written communications.

Numeracy

  1. Perform workplace calculations accurately.
  2. Solve practical mathematical problems.
  3. Interpret workplace numerical information.
  4. Apply mathematical reasoning to workplace situations.
